Gagawin ko sana daily driver, parang ayoko kasi ng Montero. Specifically 2003-2006 model FMs na A/T with working Super Select 4wd.

Things to look out for? Presyuhan nasa 350-380, is this justified, given na medyo luma na din mga ito?

Thanks

MT car for 200k and below

Hello, any manual sedan/crossover/small suv that’s good for beginners? I’ve always driven AT cars and would really love to get a manual. My current daily is an NX and a Forester as coding car so this would mostly be used during weekends or when I have some free time. I’ve seen 10+ year old MT cars that fit my budget but I’m not sure if they are safe enough for a noob like me.

Priority as follows:

- reliability (wouldn’t break down on me)
- learning curve (i’ve been told not all MTs are made the same?)
- fun factor (something that would not make me swear off manual transmissions)
- resalability (I don’t really plan to keep it for too long)

I’m not sure if the budget and the list above makes sense but I’d be really grateful for your inputs.

Salamat po

Would You Let a Whole Family Move In (Temporarily)?

Our driver told my Mom today that they only have until end of March in their house. I think it's because there was a change in leadership in their area (mayor or councilor?) so the housing project was discontinued. He still owes us money from 2017 but he was able to pay off half of it already (not sure if it went to that house) He asked my Mom if they could move in with us until the house they are building is finished (estimate is 6 mos). My Mom said it's my decision :lasing:

My Mom already mentioned the situation with our driver several weeks ago, she was hesitant but I was the one who convinced her that it's just temporary. They are 6 (Driver, wife, 3 teenage children and 1 grade school). My consideration:

1. Utilities - I think we need to submeter? Mas marami pa sila samin
2. Fat lab - my main consideration is my fat lab, I am scared that the kids might drop something that my fat lab can eat (our home is practically "child proof")
3. Privacy - I will not be able to wash my car anymore because I will have no privacy :( I also hate noise and they have teenagers
4. Wifi - will it slowdown if they are all connected?

Did I miss anything? I told my BFF about it and she was contra (just like when a different family asked to move in with us years ago) My Mom's concern is visitors from the teenage kids (barkada, bf or gf etc).

BTW our driver is not even full time, he resigned more than 5 yrs ago to be self (or family) employed. When my family is home from the US, we inform him ahead so he will have no commitments and can work with us again for x number of months.

I've always wanted extra company (I grew up na maraming tao sa bahay) I was disappointed when our all around changed his mind about moving in because our area makes him sad daw LOL. But my BFF and Titas said 6 is a bit too much to handle

Once that is set into place, it is not automatic that everyone can get the full 10-year extension. Galvante reiterated the points (or demerit) system that will determine how much more years can you add on your license. Those with clean records (those who have not committed a traffic violation before renewal) are immediately eligible for the 10-year validity.

To recap, Republic Act 10930 states, "Except for student permits, all drivers' licenses shall be valid for five (5) years reckoned from the birthdate of the licensee, unless sooner revoked or suspended: Provided, however, That subject to Section 26 hereof, any holder of a professional or nonprofessional driver's license who has not committed any violation of Republic Act No. 4136 and other traffic laws, rules and regulations during the five (5)-year period shall be entitled to a renewal of such license for ten (10) years, subject to the restrictions as may be imposed by the LTO."

Narrowed down to Both 2003-2004 models, diesel, a/t. With or without 4x4 oks lang.

Ano kaya pinakasulit sa dalawa? FC or reliability issues that you know of? Ownership costs (ok lang kahit high basta reasonably reliable, i.e., di ako mastranded sa pagudpod kasi nasira lolz).

Car will be used as a daily driver. Drive ko sya until it falls to pieces kaya resale values not important.

Thoughts and opinions appreciated, gentlemen.

Here’s What Novak Djokovic Eats In A Day
Jessica Campbell10 Jan 2019

The diet that saw Djokovic go from regular mid-match collapses, to a Grand Slam winning streak and how to replicate it yourself.

He may be coming back from injury, but from 2011 through to 2016, Djokovic was largely unbeatable on the tennis court.

In one of the most masterful seasons in the sport, Djokovic reigned supreme in 2011, winning three of four Grand Slams and going 6-0 against Nadal and 4-1 to Federer’s athletic prowess.

With such a profound dominance in the sport, it’s hard to imagine a time where Djokovic wasn’t a shoe-in for the final and hoisting trophies above his head.

But to chart the tennis champion’s progression in the sport is to find that his early years were dogged with mid-match collapses that proved a barrier to the success he seemed capable of achieving.

Whilst commentators and tennis players alike thought the issue was with the Serb’s fitness, it wasn’t until Djokovic consulted a nutritionist that he learned how important diet is to performance and made some significant changes.
The Turning Point

In 2010, Djokovic came up against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the 2010 Australian Open quarter-final. Despite taking a lead of two sets to one, Djokovic then suffered a physical crisis: he had trouble breathing, felt completely drained of strength, and vomited violently during a toilet break. When he returned to the court, he won only four games in the remaining two sets which saw Tsonga coast to victory.

Thankfully, Dr Igor Cetojevic, a nutritionist and fellow Serb, was watching the match and immediately suspected that Djokovic’s breathing difficulties were a consequence of an imbalance in his digestive system.

The pair later met for a consultation in which Cetojevic asked to hold a slice of bread against his stomach with his left hand, with his right arm outstretched, resisting the pressure as the doctor pushed down on him. When his arm felt appreciably weaker than before, it became apparent that Djokovic was sensitive to gluten.

Further blood tests showed he also was strongly intolerant to wheat and dairy products, and mildly sensitive to tomatoes. It’s not what most people want to hear, let alone those whose parents own a pizza restaurant. But Djokovic was motivated to succeed and immediately cut out bread and cheese from his diet, whilst also cutting down on tomatoes.

The Djokovic Diet

Djokovic went gluten-free for two weeks and felt immediate benefits. He felt lighter, more energetic and slept better than before. After the two weeks, Djokovic made the diet a permanent lifestyle and the benefits quickly followed. Within 12 months, he was healthier, more alert, energetic and mentally sharper.

Djokovic follows a gluten- and dairy-free diet. He also cuts out as much sugar as possible, tending to stick to vegetables, beans, white meat, fish, fruit, nuts, seeds, chickpeas, lentils and healthy oils.

His dedication is notably, quite intense – as you would expect from one of sport’s greatest icons. After winning a near six-hour final against Rafael Nadal at the 2012 Australian Open, Djokovic had a craving for chocolate, which he hadn’t eaten for 18 months. His physiotherapist brought him a bar but the Serb simply broke off one square, let it melt in his mouth and then left the rest.

Djokovic went on to write about his diet and the changes he made in his book, Serve To Win. Providing readers with detail on what he eats, he also gives a sample three days from his diet which we’ve laid out below, should you fancy trying it out yourself.

Nissan to Halt PH Manufacturing According to Sta. Rosa City Mayor

https://www.************/2020/02/nis...uring.html?m=1

The decision of Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) to stop local assembly may not be the last. Sta. Rosa City mayor Arlene Arcillas revealed that Nissan is following suit as well.

In a radio interview with DZMM program Dos-Por-Dos, Arcillas says that the city council has already been made aware of Nissan Philippines’s plan to stop the manufacture of the Almera sub-compact sedan locally.

Unlike Honda though, Nissan plans to maintain a presence in Sta. Rosa, but only in an assembly capacity. Arcillas says that the third best-selling car brand in the country will assemble vehicles using CKD kits imported from outside the Philippines. This will result in Nissan having to downsize its workforce says Arcillas, but the effect would not be as drastic compared to Honda’s decision to shutter its assembly which will lay off more than 380 workers.
