Where to buy remote control for 2010 Alterra entertainment system

Hi guys,

My 2010 Isuzu Alterra has 2 remote controls for its OEM entertainment system. One of them is missing (the main control). Where can I buy/get a replacement?

I went to Isuzu Pasig and the advisor said that the remote always comes with the whole package. Meaning, no replacement, I will have to buy the whole thing (worth 68k!). I find this hard to believe.

how often do you replace your air filter?

Hi everyone,

just want to know how often do you change your air filter? also am i doing it right???

Im using a 2NZ-FE engine on city driving (severe condition)

my air filter is a 17801-0M020 full fabric material (FFM) i think this is the un-cleanable one not unlike the paper made

manual says for severe condition is 3T KM or 3 months! (wow that's gonna be so expensive)

as you know air is an important ingredient for combustion, but foreign particles is not because it will damage the the engine)

so its a good idea to keep your air filter clean

now how do i test if my filter is still usable?

on a dark room, i place an flashlight below and see if light will pass thru, if yes, then still usable, if no, its clogged and needs a replacement... also a drop in fuel efficiency is a sign of clogged air filter.

my last 3 replacement history (engine oil (5T KM or 6 mo) and air filter (3T KM or 3 mo) is done separately based on when they hit their respective due date applying severe condition guidelines)

may 29, 2013 - 29,017 km to sept 21, 2013 - 32,540 km = 3 months or 3,523 km
sept 21, 2013 - 32,540 km to mar 05, 2014 - 38,090 km = 6 months or 5,550 km
mar 05, 2014 - 38,090 km to aug 22, 2014 - 43,291 km = 5 months or 5,201 km

Since my job requires me/us to pick up and drop consultants at the airport, ang dami pamilya/ grupo na may susunduin na isang tao pero sampu ang sasalubong.

Idagdag pa ang kanin, adobo, water jug, and even aso. 😁

Hi guys! Ask ko lang kung may problema ba sa sasakyan ko or ganun talaga sa lahat. Kada kasi mapapadaan ako sa nag sisiga or nasa harap ko yung bus/truck na malakas mag smoke belching eh naamoy sa loob ng sasakyan yung baho. Ano sa tingin nyo? Thanks

Pinalitan yung valve at valve seat ng mekaniko na pinagkatiwalaan ko, kasi nagbabawas ng langis pero walang usok sa tambutso... nasira kasi yung thread ng spark plug kaya pina machine shop pero merong singaw sa ginawang thread... merong oil na lumalabas dun sa singaw na spark plug... masama ba ito? Naidamay na kasi ng mekaniko yung valve at valve seat kasi parang top overhaul na yata... mga magkano kaya valve ng 2e at valve seat? Sa tingin ko overprice eh wala maipakitang resibo.

Yung menor ko hindi pa maganda... pero ok naman power after ng gawin ganito na panget na idling hindi na alam nung mekaniko gagawin, bago ito gawin tahimik at stable and menor, ano po maipapayo nyo? tyia..

I have a friend that's interested in getting a local unit of the 2014 Toyota Prado 4.0L V6.

Anyone have one here?

How does its features compare to the grey market units? Because before, I remember grey market units have more toys on it.

Also, is there any news of the 2015 Toyota Prado?

Any feedback would be great!

Mga boss,

pls recommend naman ng STARTER motor expert in BANAWE or manila area.

My 2005 Toyota Fortuner 3.0 starter, after good start-up at kapag nagsimula umandar konti, parang may naiiwan at may dumidikit sa starter, nag cacause ng medyo malakas na clunk clunk clunk(possible sa kadikit na flywheel) mga 1-2seconds lang. After nun kahit 100km smooth na ride.

Baka needs cleaning or replace parts sa loob ng STARTER. Katakot baka bigla mastuck totally sa flywheel, titirik talaga siya..

Best and Worst Parking Areas in Metro Manila

Hey Everyone,

Wanted to make a thread about the Best and Worst Parking Areas in Metro Manila.

I'll start off with the Worst ones:

Eastwood City Walk Building Parking: Well honestly I created this thread thinking of this parking building. This has got to be the worst especially in terms of ventilation: Sobrang init sa parking dito, to the point na kala mo nakabilad sa araw kotse mo pag sakay mo at tataas talaga temp ng sasakyan! I don't think they've done anything about this. I've parked here ever since Eastwood opened and it never changed. Not to mention their up and down ramps na makitid at prone sa sayad. Buti nalang di ako nakalowered. :D

Eastwood Mall naman is poorly oriented. And those large single ramps leading to the lower levels are stupid too.

Actually I've stereotyped Megaworld parkings already for being really bad. Another one that comes to mind is the building parking in Resorts World Manila... Or that basement parking of Burgos Circle.

Greenbelt Basement Parkings: You can easily get lost with their underground parking especially if you're not too familiar with the place. I don't know if their integration of all the Greenbelt parkings is good or bad. Plus most of the time by the time you exit up, you'll usually say "way the heck am I?"

Hello Tsikot!

I just wanted to get some feedback about sa Isuzu Alterra. About possible problem areas, maintenance costs, performance and the like.

Balak po namin kasi palitan ni misis yung kotse nya 2009 City 1.3 manual. We also have a 2012 montero gls-v matic and we've come to appreciate yung advantages ng diesel SUV especially in terms of practicality.

We prefer 4x2 matic but since this will be a 2nd hand buy but we are open to 4wd or manual transmission versions considering all things of course.

p.s. would a similar Y61 Nissan Patrol be a good alternative?

The event, the 12th since its launch in 2003, will be broadcast on adult cable television, with punters donating to the anti-AIDS campaign in exchange for a feel.

It comes after sexist heckling of a Tokyo assemblywoman hit the headlines, highlighting old-fashioned views towards women that still permeate Japanese society.

"I never thought my boobs could contribute to society," added the ponytailed Serina, apparently unaware of any contradiction.

Fellow porn actress Iku Sakuragi had no qualms about being groped by hundreds of pairs of hands.

"It's for charity," said the 21-year-old. "Squeeze them, donate money -- let's be happy."

Lawmakers from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's ruling party sparked a public outcry in June when they subjected Tokyo assemblywoman Ayaka Shiomura to sexist taunts, shouting "Why don't you get married?" at her during a debate on motherhood.

Japan has one of the lowest rates of female workforce participation in the developed world and a lack of childcare facilities, poor career support and deeply entrenched sexism are blamed for keeping women at home.

The 24-hour "squeeze-a-thon" begins at 8pm on Saturday (1100 GMT) and is backed by the Japan Foundation for AIDS Prevention.

What would you choose? This wouldnt be a daily driver. More like a sunday car or a car you would bring to places that an SUV is too much of a hassle to park. Driving fun would be paramount. Usable speed is also nice. Practicality is not a consideration.

SUV/MPV recommendations

Needs an SUV/MPV.....

1. 3-4 passengers plus driver, with hand carried luggages
2. 70% out of town trips with light off road routes- rough roads, zigzags, and few mountain areas
3. Will probably run 25k to 30k kms per year at the least
4. Does not need a 4wd, 4x2 will do
5. Will shuttle consultants (local and foreign) most of the time, and occasional personal use
6. MT or AT, not an issue
7. Diesel

Currently with sedans and van, another van is an option but not a must.

Considering Montero, Innova (no fortuner please, i just don't like it), and Everest ONLY.

The previous thread i made, (Bagong kotse thread)
helped me and my sister to decide which car to get, so fire away.

Dalton Pass Alternate Route

I just came from Bayombong. Traffic in Dalton Pass was so bad, primarily due to slow moving/crawling 22 wheeler trucks. I wonder whether the DPWH implements its rules on overloading.

I heard though of an alternate route from San Jose, Nueva Ecija to Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya that is now being constructed. The road, which bypasses Sta Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, is around 10 km and supposedly has a 1 km tunnel bridge/viaduct. It's supposedly 90% complete. Anyone has heard about this project?

Mga bossing,

Have 2005 Fortuner 3.0V 140k mileage.

Ask ko lang if may naka experience na sa inyo(kahit sa ibang car) or may idea ano possible problem?

Starting up is OK(no grinding), when I shift to 'D' and move mga ilang meters, may malakas na grinding sound sa driver side engine. kapag walang tapak sa acceleration mga 4-5meters, kapag may tapak sa acceleration mga 2meters.

Short to say basta parang umabot sa 5 KPH may grinding sound na parang sa gears. After tumunog ng 1-2seconds, smooth na ride kahit 100km itakbo no problem.

Uulet nanaman siya kapag bagong start lang ang engine.

Sorry for my other post, taking out starter problem as possibly ibang gears may problem.
