Leather Dashboard - namuti after leather treatment
Good Day mga paps!
I'm currently restoring my grandfather's 1969 Mercedes Benz W115. The interior is in perfect condition, kaso kailangan lang ng matinding punas. I bought EagleOne leather cleaner (which was on sale sa Blade Timog) and microfiber cloths to clean the dashboard.
After spraying the leather cleaner directly sa dashboard, i waited mga 1-2 minutes before punas at polish. Napansin ko pagkatapos ko punasan na parang nag-iba yung kulay nung dashboard kung saan directly na-sprayan nung leather cleaner. Hindi ko muna tinuloy kasi baka lalong mamuti yung dashboard.
Actually, hindi ako sigurado kung namuti ba kasi natanggal talaga yung dumi, o namuti kasi nakakadamage yung cleaner. HELP MGA PAPS! Ano pong pwede kong gawin/gamitin na product para pumantay yung dash? Nadamage ko kaya talaga yun? :lasing:

help. regrets after upgrading the stock speakers
Sirs just want to ask for your advice on this matter. We have a 2008 honda civic fd. The stock sound system is pretty good and I love the way it produces the bass. The right front speaker eventually gave out and I DIY'd it. I had it re-winded and it sounded the way it was before. After about half a year the same speaker gave out again. A friend of mine advised me to consider upgrading the front speakers to a "separates". So I had them replaced with firland audio separates. Im not exactly sure about the model number. Anyway after the upgrade I noticed that the sound bass that the stock speaker produced was not there anymore, After the upgrade halos wala na ako maramdaman na bass puro treble nalang, kahit pa i negative ko na yung treble at i lakas ko yung volume very minimal nalang yung bass. So it turned out the way i hear it that mas maganda pa yung dating stock speakers sa separates. My question mga sirs it may remedyo o paraan po ba na lumakas kahit konti yung bass without installing a subwoofer. Ayaw ko po kasi ng may subwoofer box sa trunk. May paraan po ba na "matimpla" yung separates ko para lumakas nman yung bass. Napansin ko nga din po pla that after the upgrade eh hindi ko na marinig halos yung stock speakers sa likod. Please po bigyan nyo ako ng advice at parang nagsisisi yta ako dun sa 5k na binayad ko sa upgrade. thank you and more power sa tsikot.com

Most reliable daily drive with lowest TCO
Need advice on a new daily drive.
I currently own an Alterra and a 9-year old Vios with almost 200km on its odometer. My Vios is my daily drive, and the SUV is used only during long trips and coding. I would replace my Vios soon with an equally economical car (in terms of TCO and fuel efficiency) - After 9 years of ownership, the only major fixes done to the Vios are compressor replacements and the normal wear-and-tear maintenance (e.g. brakes, suspension).
There are too many choices in the market right now, and I'm torn among the small cars (Wigo, Mirage, ...), subcompacts(City, Vios, ...) and mpvs (Avanza, Ertiga, ...).
My criteria:
1. I don't need a high performance car.
2. I need a car that I can own convenienty for the next 10 years.
3. Low TCO and fuel efficiency. Cheap parts and maintenance.
4. Basic security features (sensors and airbags).
5. Flood-wading capability is not that important.
6. Budget of 500k - 900k.
7. Manual transmission, but light to drive (soft clutch).
8. Best discount for cash buyer.
9. I don't go for looks (evident on my "hearse"-looking Alterra as the haters say it). I go for reliability.

Kia Sportage CRDI EGR Blanking
Hi tsikoteers and fellow Kia Owners,
After some online reading about EGR blanking, I've decided to give my ride this mod.
Now I have a couple of questions:
1. Anyone here who has done EGR blanking on their Sportage or any similar car (diesel-fed Korean vehicles)? What are your feedbacks so far?
2. Can you recommend a shop or individual who can help me? I've seen DYI videos but I'm hesitant to do it. Baka mas masira ko lng, at di ko maibalik.
I hope to get it done soon, as I have already gotten 2 incidences of CEL about EGR circuit malfunction, had the solenoid cleaned and OBD reset. Magastos din yung temporary fix, bumabalik after a few hundred kilomrters.
I'll appreciate any help or answers.

Toyota Avanza 1.5G AT vs Suzuki Ertiga 1.4L GLX AT
Been looking with these 2 and can't decide which is better choice.
In terms of HP, Avanza na ako, with 102HP compare to Ertiga 95 HP, pero small difference lang naman at okay na rin naman ako sa Ertiga pagdating sa HP.
Ngayon tanong ko, sino ba ang mas lamang pagdating sa:
1.Fuel
2.Comfort/Legroom
3.Maintenance/Parts
4. Looks

meron ako napagtanungan sa binan kasi na V-kool tint sabi 2000 daw for windshield lang (mitsu adventure), do you think mahal o sakto lang then ang estimate nya for the whole car windows e 6k.. do you guys think na masyado mura o tama lang yung price nya? mahal daw po kasi ang v-kool according sa mga nababasa kong ibang threads?

Help regarding automatic transmission shifting
Please help regarding my automatic transmission. The problem arises when i notice it was emitting black smoke then i have my nozzle tip clean, after cleaning, the smoke is gone but engine lost power. So the mechanic suggest i calibrate the injection pump,the defect is a damage piston with four dent at the end. After calibrating, it emits black smoke and the mechanics put a gi sheet on the gasket to bypass the egr. When test driving, i notice it lacks power and the transmission hardly shift, it shift at 2000rpm, after that it hardly accelerate. I went back to the mechanics , he suspect its the transmission,maybe something is wrong with the module or sensor. I got a second opinion from a transmission specialist and he diagnose maybe the injection pump is delayed. I am confused now whether who to listen. Please help

CDR King gigabit switches
Hi peeps,
i'm looking for a cheap 8-port gigabit switch for some NAS/SAN experiments at home. Ewan ko kung umandar lang pagkakuripot ko, but it seems the branded ones are real expensive, parang di sulit: D-Link at 2,100 , TP-Link at 3,750. There's one by Zyxel at around 1,350 so this is my current pick.
Has anyone tried the gigabit switches from CDR King?
