We had our Terrano's trans rebuilt (new rebuild kit and new strainer). Sliding sa 2nd gear kasi before and there are times na ayaw talaga mag shift from 1st.
The vehicle is then delivered to ours ng aming trusted guy (charged to fleet card kasi so sya ang nag negotiate and nagdala sa shop). Tinest ko kaagad uphill dito samin, meron dito mga 200 meters of a steep slope na hirap dati nung sliding pa, nung time na yun medyo satisifed na ako
A day after it was delivered, I've driven the vehicle again. after a few minutes of warm up, umalis na ako. I noticed violent vibrations pag upshift to 2nd or 3rd gear. After a few minutes (presuming operating temp na makina), nagiging OK na shifting from 1-4 pero there are times na inconsistent pa rin and ayaw pumasok. Minsan pag binibitawan ko silinyador, parang nagdidisengage sya from its current gear (parang nagne-neutral ba)
So sinabi ko yun sa guy namin. Sabi nya eh nung pagdala nya daw from shop papuntang bahay eh oks naman. According to the shop, observe daw for 1 month kasi hindi pa daw "lapat" yung mga seals and linings - halos pudpod na daw ang lining and other parts accdg to our guy.
For two weeks nagtiis ako sa violent vibrations for a few minutes pag umaalis ako. After a few KMs umookey na shifting pero di pa rin ako confident. Ngayon eh na lessen onti vibrations pero it is stil there. Medyo nag improve naman compared to the first few days when it was delivered
My question is kung may madadamage ba if sige ko i drive despite the upshift problems? Will changing the ATF improve it? Red ang atf and adequate ang level. Nung sliding pa kasi eh wala naman akong naexperience na vibrations except i have to rev higher para mag upshift. 6 months warranty accdg to the shop.
