Ford Explorer 2008 2009

Planning to purchase a 2nd hand explorer 2008 or 2009... I'm just concerned about the fuel consumption. I've read and heard that it could be as low as 4.5 up to 7km/l city driving... I don't know how accurate these are? Tama ba? Can it go as high as 7? 4.5 might be too low for me 5 to 5.5 is okay.

Any comments?
Regular traffic lang not heavy. I don't usually get heavy traffic during my travel time.
