Volkswagen MultiVan

Volkswagen PH to test market for Multivan by bringing it to MIAS | TopGear.com.ph

Quote:

Automobile Central Enterprise, the official distributor of Volkswagen in the Philippines, will be very busy in the coming days. First, the company will finally launch the Beetle on April 2 at The Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City. Second, the German car brand will make its first official appearance at the Manila International Auto Show on April 3 to 6.

Needless to say, the Beetle will grace the VW booth at the annual motor show, to be accompanied by the Multivan. No, ACE will not be selling this van in our market just yet, but it is definitely studying the possibility. Whether this model will be sold here eventually will largely depend on the reception that MIAS visitors will heap upon the vehicle.

In other markets, the Multivan is powered by 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel four-cylinder engines. Which powerplant do you think Volkswagen Philippines should bring in? And how much should this van be priced if it is to sell like hotcakes in our market? Help ACE by providing your insight.
Interesting. I wonder what models they'll bring in.

The one in this 2 year old review talks of a 2.0L Turbo petrol TSI350 engine churning out 150kW (201 Hp) and 350Nm of torque.

Here are what Wiki lists as VW engines:
Volkswagen Transporter (T5) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

2.0 TDI CR - 138 Hp; 340 Nm (Still tops the Super Grandia)
2.0 BiTDI CR - 177 Hp; 400 Nm (Hyundai GS D4CB territory, but bi-turbo would probably be expensive for maintenance)
