Palaui Island (Sta. Ana, Cagayan)

Anyone who has been to this place recently?

My friends and I are planning to go there this coming holy week (April 17-19 maybe). A friend of ours will be accommodating us in Sta. Ana, Cagayan and the plan is to visit Palaui Island, the location where the Survivor Series was recently taped.

I've been to Cauayan City, Isabela recently but that is as far north as I have been/driven. I assume the road to Tuguegarao is the very least decent but I am not sure of the road condition to Aparri and Sta. Ana.

Any tips, suggested routes, recommended tourist destinations along the way?
