#Suzuki YL1 Sedan to replace the #x4 sedan. #AutoEncore
This rather handsome and more proportionate looking Indian-made (by Maruti-Suzuki) sedan bearing the internal codename YL1 sedan is slated to replace the much unloved SX4 sedan.
This sub-compact sedan is clearly influenced by the Suzuki Authentics concept shown at Shanghai Motor Show earlier this year. The YL1 is intended to fight segment leaders such as the Honda City and Toyota Vios.
Based on a stretched Swift platform, the YL1 is also expected to share it's host's 1.4L K series engine with both manual and automatic transmission option. A Fiat sourced Multijet 1.3L diesel with manual is also an engine-tranny combo choice.
The YL1 is expected to deliver premium feel interior and comfortable sub-compact car accomodations, as it is built mainly for the comprehensively competitive C-segment cars of the Indian market.
With the Indian sourced Alto 800 and Dzire sedan now being sold here in RP, would you like the YL1 to see our shores as well?
